Carlos is a Senior Manager part of the Real Estate and Hospitality practice at EY Law.

He has more than 15 years advising multinacional companies and its different supporting functions in a wide variety of matters and branches of law (e.g. commercial contracting, corporate, compliance and risk management, labor and employment, among others). He also has a vast experience as in-house counsel in fast-paced and customer focused corporations in various industry sectors (e.g. telecommunications, pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, real estate and hospitality).

Carlos has a LL.M. (Master of Laws) obtained in Dec. 2011 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge, LA, USA.  He also has a Specialization Degree in Notary and Registry Law (Jul. 2009) from Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho School of Law and a Licentiate Degree in Law (J.D. equivalent) (Aug. 2007) from the Universidad de Costa Rica (U.C.R.) School of Law.

Carlos is member of the Costa Rican Bar Association. Used to be a member of the§ Latin America Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) and the Central American In-House Counsels Association (AAEC).
