Biography

Partner of Sustainability Services, EY Central America, Panama, and Dominican Republic

Manfred has 15 years of experience in sustainability, leading projects in over 15 countries, working in different industries like finance, tourism, real estate development, agriculture, telecommunications, mining and health, in various triple bottom line strategy and systems management projects, specifically in the corporate governance, environmental and social dimensions. He is currently a Partner at EY, leading Sustainability Services for the firm in Central America, Dominican Republic and Panama. This practice became the largest growing practice in North Latin America, also providing technical support to projects in other geographies, like United States, Middle East, the Greater Caribbean, North Latin America and South Latin America.

He has collaborated with important model organizations such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the United Nations, the Global Reporting Initiative, the Carbon Disclosure Project, INCAE Business School, governments and institutions in the public sector, among others.

Manfred holds a Master’s in Business Administration from INCAE Business School and a degree in Agricultural Engineering and Sciences from EARTH University.

Manfred is currently a member of the Administrative Council of CRUSA Foundation. He was also elected “Global Shaper” by the World Economic Forum, recognized by El Financiero’s 2012 edition of “40 under 40”, received training as “Climate Leader” by Al Gore, was elected “Ashoka Fellow” by Ashoka, and was invited by the US Government to its “Changemakers” Leaders Program.
