Ana Clement is a Senior Manager and Leader of EY Law Panama.  For more than 20 years, she has focused on legal services related to commercial, corporate, labor, and compliance law.

Before joining EY Law Panama, she worked at a multinational company and developed a broader and specialized understanding of the regulations of the Central American region. Since she joined EY, she has participated in different corporate restructuring projects, including contract drafting support for complex transnational transactions of mergers and acquisitions, support in negotiations, resolution of interpretation consultation, and application of local regulations.

She has helped multinational companies to adapt their internal policies in terms of the Panamanian labor laws and review compensation schemes to comply with local salary criteria by optimizing labor benefits of our clients.

She has also actively participated in the analysis and drafting of regulations on anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism per international standards, as well as  regional projects on advisory and drafting of data protection privacy and informed consent policies for leading companies of the sector.

Ana has a degree in Law and Political Sciences from Universidad de Panama, in Management and Development of Human Resources from Universidad de Louisville, and in Patents, Brands, Copyright, and Competition from Instituto de Derecho Industrial (IDIUS) of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
